I purchased this wood for a specific project, in which the grain need to be beautiful, so when I add the honey stain from varathane the 2 components can compliment each other.... Now varathane stain is a simple formula that they have to repeat to continue to produce that certain stain, however with wood, the tree is natural and how it grows nature has a hand in that! But if all the lumber for my 2x10x12 projects is like this one then 5stars isn't enough!!! #TWatsonCarpentry
