Can this wood be painted before installing?

Asked by RJ March 2, 2019

Answers

Absolutely Yes. One thing to keep in mind and to watch for: If the lumber is very "fresh" ( just rec'd from factory ) it can still be moist from the pressure treatment process. You should leave the boards standing vertically in the sun to dry before painting. This will help with the new paint adhering to the surface and not "smearing" A full day in the sun should do the trick but, might take two.

good product, does well in shower areas for keeping termites away,
easy to cut, holds up well in wet conditions, only draw back is its very heavy when it was purchased, try to pick dry ones as it will shrink up and become loose if nailed ore held with screws.
