A: Would suggest using pressure treated lumber And more importantly check with the building codes to ensure the size of the lumber meets the minimum requirements
A: Yes. These boards have rounded edges that are intended for use in a deck. I purchased these boards to replace a couple damaged boards in my deck.
A: It should be. Make sure you get non-treated lumber.
A: Yes , that’s why we bought it.
A: Safe? Yeah. It is just dried lumber. It will rot in just a few years though. It is mostly considered safe to use pressure treated lumber for garden beds now. Will last longer. But this would be safest option—no chemical treatment that could conceivably leach into soil. No chance.
