Hello Ann. Thanks for your question about our Flair planter. The planter holds 5 cubic feet. A 40 lb bag of soil is 1 cubic foot. So, you would need five 40-lb bags of soil. I would recommend a layer of stones in the bottom of the planter to promote drainage (you will need less soil). You should also drill holes in the bottom of the planter according to the drill markings. This will keep your arborvitae happy!
no, you will have to drill one or more
Hello and thanks for your question about the Lattice White Sanibel. The color is slightly off-white, but not beige and not a real bright white. Thanks and enjoy!
Unless they are an aquatic plant, they need air around their roots. However, I have had success by using a larger non-draining pot to catch water from an interior pot that is set inside. I just rest the interior pot on a few stones at the bottom of the larger pot in order to create a small area for the excess water to drain. This larger pot effectively acts as a giant saucer. It is important to put your finger in the soil once in a while to make sure the water is draining.
