Since it is an uncut slab door you can decide what is the top and what is the bottom depending on the grain direction you like best -- hope my answer helps
it's just a slab, it's hollow throughout, drill your holes where you want them, be careful , make sure you use masking tape when you drill or the veneer will splinter.
you have to drill it yourself. be sure to put masking tape over the place you are going to drill if you don't the wood will splinter
