Are the edges sharp?
It is recommended to wear work gloves when handling the panels as the edges could be sharp.
In using 5 v crimp 8 ft panels, what kind of trim is used for the bottom, top and sides for a shed roof?
The CE1 Eave for the bottom, the AR3 Ridge Cap for the top and the AC1 Corner/Gable for the sides are the most common trim pieces used, but it may vary depending on the roof style of the shed.
What kind of paint is recommended for use on this material?
What type paint can be used
If a primer is required, apply a uniform thin film of good chromate type paint per label instructions. Permit this primer coat to dry. Apply a finish coat of any good exterior type paint by a brush, roller, or sprayer. Be sure that the finish coat is compatible with the primer used. Your paint supplier should be able to verify this for you.

The 12 ft panels I have have a shiny finish and the 8 ft pieces look more galvanized. Do the 8 ft pieces come in shiny finish?
The inventory may have been run out of different coil stock. Both would be galvanized. the store typically would not have both.
