If you do it right yes you can, meaning try your best to install framing 2 x 4 studs for added support, use the right fasteners (nails that have big round plastic head attached to the nail) and think about using, at least for the first couple of layers mortar, and the liquid adhesive in your mix....Good Luck

Thanks! I will not use it because it is razor sharp. I made myself unclear. The wire is only on the top of the bin to provide ventilation. I am not making a cage out of wire.

will this keep gophers from coming up in the grass areas?

Answer

Animals wouldn't want to try and chew claw or dig through this stuff it is sharp and very strong. I am not sure how you would hold it down or fasten it to the ground. The point is not many animals beside a bear or a wolverine type animal would have the power or the pain threshold to get though this. Now how you can use this to your advantage is in your court. Good luck.

I use this lath to adhere stucco and rock too. Gives me a sense of security that my heavy rock won't fall off and at the same time it meets local building code.

Great for floating a floor. A little expensive for a large area. Be careful, the ends are sharp.

Not exactly what they intended, but works great!
I used this lath for garden fencing around some raised beds in my backyard to keep the bunnies out of my peas and beans. My husband used some extra deck balusters we had laying around to drive into the dirt and then we secured the lath with lath screws to the balusters. He used a sheet metal brake to bend the lath for corners and trimmed the end pieces with big scissors he uses for sheet metal & the like. So far so good - the bunnies havent eaten our plants and the fence holds up well (we used it for the strawberry patch last year, still looks great this year!).
