Product Details

The NIBCO CPVC-CTS female adapter is made of FlowGuard Gold CPVC and is ideally suited for hot and cold water pressure distribution systems in residential and commercial applications. The CPVC-CTS female adapter with washer features a female socket x female NPT threaded connection and provides a means for adapting a solvent weld connection to a threaded connection. Please refer to NIBCO technical data sheets and catalogs for engineering and installation information. Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) has proven to be an excellent material for hot corrosive liquids, hot and cold water distribution and similar applications above the temperature range of PVC. CPVC will not rust, pit, scale or corrode. CPVC fittings are easy to install and are joined by solvent cementing or threading. NIBCO plastic fittings are backed by a 5-year limited warranty. Q:I am assuming this will hookup to 1/2" hose spigot and reduct to 1/2" cpvc tubing. If this is correct can it be purchased with a swivel?

A: Yes. Personally, I would rather use a male fitting (combination slip x male galvanized threaded pipe) to a female x female iron pipe coupling to the galvanized pipe. Much stronger joint.

A transition union such as the NIBCO 4733-3-LF would be a better option. CPVC CTS Slip x FIPT Adapter Fitting. 4704 CPVC-CTS adapters are NPT thread, but designed to really be used with a 4703 CPVC-CTS adapter, which is NPSM straight thread—it incorporates a rubber gasket for the flat nose of the 4704 to seal against.
