About This Product

Designed for exterior construction projects where moisture resistance and strength are important, this 3/4 in. fir plywood panel offers dependable performance when properly installed and protected. Manufactured with exterior‑type adhesive, this plywood is built to withstand limited exposure to moisture during construction and is commonly used for roof decking, wall sheathing, subflooring, and other structural assemblies where appearance is not the primary concern. The sanded face provides a smoother working surface than standard sheathing panels, making it easier to cut and fasten cleanly. This panel is not marine‑grade plywood and is not pressure treated; it should be protected from prolonged moisture exposure once installed and used in accordance with building code requirements. Easy to cut and install with standard tools, this fir plywood panel delivers reliable strength and versatility for residential and light‑duty exterior construction applications.

Court, This is treated with MCA (micronized Copper Azole). However, Aluminum contact is not recommended with Pressure-Treated products when immersed in water or are subject to frequent and prolonged wetting or other severe exposure conditions.

Yes, but use only latex (water based) paint and primer. Mike

                By|Apr 1, 2025

Jimmy, We do not recommend painting pressure treated lumber. While it is possible to paint, the end result is often not up to a customer's expectation. If your project calls for paint, ensure that product is dry and ready to accept the paint. Multiple coats of paint may be needed. The paint department can help to pick the best paint for your project.

                  Answer This Question

Normal hot dipped galvanized steel can be used in most cases. This pressure-treated plywood is also compatible with aluminum components and carbon steel (black iron) fasteners.

Lowest quality marine grade I have ever used. Lots of filler covering surface voids. One piece had been taped with filler applied to "rebuild" a broken edge. It met bare minimum requirements for the project it was purchased for. I was less than satisfied.
