Worked great for my project!
While I'm sure that this works well for its intended purpose as a gutter guard, I purchased it to make a grille to fill a space above the front bumper of my truck, which was an open invitation for rocks or other debris to hit the radiator. A nice ready-made grille was around $150, so I thought I'd take a chance on this mesh for less than 1/10 the price. I wrapped some rubbery edge material around the perimeter of the mesh after cutting it to fit, and it worked perfectly - I just zip-tied it in place. And since this is a 5-pack, I have plenty of spare material in case it ever gets damaged. The black powder-coated finish looks great.

Product solved one problem but created another
I bought this product to prevent leaves and other airborne debris from filling up the gutters on my house and subsequently clogging the downspouts. The guards were easy to install and do indeed prevent most of the leaves and pine needles from reaching the gutters, but only by catching the stuff in the mesh of the guards themselves, as shown in the photograph. I used to have to hire someone to clean the gutters once a year. Now I have to hire someone to clean the gutter guards.

Easy to put up. The real test is when the fall leaves start up.

These installed like promised, keep the leaves out of gutter but here in western montana our first snow sat on the screen and froze then it rained and the problem started. The screen I think was with too small of holes which allowed the snow to stick on top and not fall through which closed the holes and the rain then ran down roof and across the sealed screen then over the gutter right down on to the deck, walk and patio to freeze. I found some screens with 3/8" holes and I don't have this problem now.

warning, water RUNS OFF and over
Using this, in hard rains it soaks the house, water runs to fast and hard and it floods the house. Not good, beware this is not a viable option! Your house foundation will be soaked. or it will flood your basement with a hard enough rain, looks for another high flow option.

    Best Gutter Guard
Just installed 150' of these on a two-story house we are restoring. Fantastic gutter guard: solid, installs easily and stays firmly in place. Blends in well, unlike the unsightly white plastic guards. Bonus for me is that it does not require you to slip it under the shingles. Would highly recommend these.

    Work Great
I installed these a couple of years ago........ You can cut with tin snips, bend with pliers to shape if needed, they do not sag or move.... I have a lot of green ash & a couple of maples and the guards have worked great. very reasonable price compared to plastic, if you have trees this is what you want. I looked for 2-3 years before I found these....... Great item!!!!!!!!!

Just right for my unique needs.
I have a roof vent system where there are 'vents' along the edge of the roof and the shingles hang over the vent right to the top of the gutter. Typical 'leaf guard' systems would either restrict the desired air flow or would not fit due to way the shingles lay over the vent. The gutters are higher at the middle of long runs or at the end of short runs to ensure the water flows toward the downspouts obviously. But the difference in height creates a problem where the shingles hang too close to those high spots. These metal mesh guards can be bent to fit and cut where necessary. It wasn't easy to get them in under the shingles in most areas, but the design of the guards ensures plenty of air flow for the vents. And since I was able to 'shape' them as needed, I do not have any low spots where debris could accumulate. And if any organic material can get through the holes in the guards, they can easily get washed out and down the spouts. Leaves are not going to be a problem any more. The only problem may be pine needles that could straddle the guard grills. But I'll gladly remove them as needed over clogged downspouts from leaves. Just be sure to wear gloves as handling several of these - to include bending and/or cutting them - will cut your fingers and hands. And be patient - it may take a few sections worth to really figure out the best way to apply them to your specific situation.

    Great Product
This was recommended by a person who installed gutters. It was easy to install and works great. We have had some heavy rain and leaves are starting to fall. I does great for letting the water in the gutter and the leaves out.
