I need rust free. Is this 100% plastic?

AnswerMost of this grabber is plastic, yes. The tips are rubber and the internal mechanism appears to be stainless steel. I haven't used it in salt water so I can't be certain that the entire item is rust free.

This surprisingly rigid yet lightweight grabber is dextrous enough to pick up a single cigarette butt and strong enough to grab an empty 40oz glass beer bottle! The pistol grip mechanism gives me total control over the grabber end. This 36" inch length is perfect for reaching trash as I ride past it on my bike, and I'm learning how to grab trash without needing to stop. I'm very excited to be helping to keep plastic from reaching our oceans!

Have purchased and used the smaller items specifically the 27" PikStik
The model I purchased is a mistake. My mistake/error for changing models. Once this one wears out/breaks going back to my original 27" model. Issues: The handle is turned. The stick is too long for my purposes. The stick barrel is bulky and also not appropriate for my use.
