A: Yes, you can. But you must screw to a solid wood frame of the dry wall because drywall is not strong enough to hold the cabinet.
A: I would much rather use the screws into studs than into anchors. The unit is wide enough that you should be able to find 2 studs to screw into. It does not matter if they are off center because they are strong enough to hold. I mounted two units that way that way..
