I bought wooden brackets and simply set my window box on them.

What Do I use to mount this bellow a window?

I purchased iron brackets at Hobby Lobby at $5 apiece, on their bi weekly sale. A great deal and look even better. Painted them for extra rust protection, Rustoleum, attached them with screws into the facia of my wood deck. You will need mason screws if attaching to brick.

Description says 4 pack. Is there really 4 in a pack for this price doesn't seem correct?

Hi Joe, thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately we do not offer the window box in 24 inches on Homedepot.com at this time. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Thank you for shopping Home Depot!

What brackets would you use to hang this on a balcony railing? The thickness of railing is 1.5”

I think you may have to use a bracket that holds it up from the bottom. So it sits on the bracket. Looks like it is just stapled together.

Other people's reviews are right, these are built kind of flimsily. I reinforced with screws and all is fine... for now. I've had them outside for a month so far and they're still intact through multiple storms and hot, sunny days. I don't expect them to last forever but I won't be upset if they do eventually fall apart because they were by far the cheapest wood option available.

Yes, they are cheap...but they're a good value for the do-it-yourselfer
I looked into buying wood for four 36" planters and because wood is so expensive at the moment, it was cheaper to buy these and correct their inherent design mistakes. I read the complaints about these planter boxes and took notes. I purchased four, in-store, so I knew what I was getting. Previous reviews mentioned: 1. "Boards come apart easily." This is true, because they're just stapled together. I fixed this with my brad nailer and ran a bunch of 1.25" nails into the connections. Solid as a rock now. 2. "As soon as they got wet they warped." I believe it, because the wood is so light and cheap and thirsty (Basswood? Some super-light Pine?). To remedy this, I applied polyurethane (multiple coats needed for these thirsty boards) to all of them and they resist water fantastically now. I filled them with artificial flowers to keep the weight down and eliminate maintenance. I understand not everyone has a brad nailer or some poly laying around, but if you do, these are a good deal. If you're not a do-it-yourselfer, I'd pass on these planter boxes and buy something already finished, though you will notice a big jump in price.

Cost effective
Decided it would be way more expensive to build my own boxes. Took these home for a great price of $20 per box, sanded them down, and stained to my preference. Absolutely love how this turned out. If the integrity of the box doesn’t hold up, I will fix as needed.

Split apart after 2 days.
These are TERRIBLE. You fill them with dirt, water them and by day 2 they look like the photos attached. The wood warps and busts the fasteners. Total waste of $80.

These are seemingly made out of balsa wood. The wood grain is not sealed from moisture. The light brown stain on them, all but worthless for outdoor protection. The thin wire staples used to hold it together will probably rust out in a few months. We chose to paint them with white spray paint primer/paint from rustoleum for outdoor projects. They, we got two, just kept sucking up the paint like a dry sponge. 4 coats. I doubt these will make it long for anyone without some sort of protection. Now, if only we could find some plastic 36" window box liners to put in them! You can't. Sold out everywhere it seems. So, we wait to use them for anything. They sure do look good though!

Complete junk - comes apart within 2 weeks - see picture
Bought two of these and filled them with plants and soil from Home Depot - all in for about $100 - and they BOTH start coming apart within 2 weeks. Now what to do? Can't really replant them and return? Such a disappointment.

Very Poorly Made
I bought this box to decorate our deck. It was up for 3 days before this happened. This box was very poorly put together. They used staples to assemble it and no glue. After filling it with dirt, adding flowers and a heavy rain, the box clearly couldn't hold the weight, which is should have been able to do. Do not buy this, unless you plan to keep it on the ground. (Which is silly because they advertise it as a window box) Do not hang it like the picture they show.

Falling apart
As others have said, the front corners are pulling away from the box. I plan on trying to fix with screws. This box is attached to a 4ft fence.
