Can this be used to join slab vabor barrier?

If you mean to join the vapor barrier at the seams, I believe it would work well. It can withstand the concrete/aggregate pour, and the stickiness is superior.... but I doubt 3M would "guarantee" the same vapor integrity as the vapor barrier material, as it is not specifically designed for that purpose. Then again, "there's nothing duct tape and bailing wire can't fix"! Lol ;)

what is the tape thickness?

I used the 3M 1.88 in. x 60 yds. Multi-Use Duct Tape, Gray to patch a worn nylon tarp I was using to cover my camper to protect it from sun, wind and rain. It's springtime in Florida and the temps range from 70s to 80s with rain, wind and sun. I carefully covered all damaged areas, going over them 2 or 3 times to make sure it adhered well. The next day, half the tape had come completely undone, making it totally useless and leaving more of a mess than I had to begin with. The tape may work well on something like clean glass, but for my purpose, it was a total waste of money.

Some other duct tapes I've used were easier to tear, but the stickiness of the 3M Duct Tape was fantastic! I taped down plastic sheeting to rock boulders and cool-decking, without washing them down, and it held very well. We pulled it up 36 hours later with no residue left behind.
