Can this be applied carpet?

Answer

That would destroy the carpet. This adhesive is extremely sticky, and permanent.

Maybe, but this adhesive goes on in a very thin layer and probably does not fill in irregularities very well. It was perfect for my job of attaching two pieces of foam for an upholstery application. I personally would use some kind of quality construction adhesive for your job since when pressure is applied, it will squeeze out to fill any surface irregularities and may make a better, stronger bond. But I am not a professional. I am not familiar with PL Premium. When I have doubts about a DIY job, I usually turn to YouTube for advice from professionals and other skilled people who often have clever ideas that I can use.

WHY CAN I NOT GET THIS PRODUCT SHIPPED TO MY HOME. LOCAL STORES ARE OUT OF STOCK.

It may be because the uncured material is highly flammable.

Is this product suitable to attach FRP panels to drywall?

Asked by LS January 7, 2021

No, it is not suited for installing a product that heavy. It is a spray contact adhesive and would not give you good coverage for attaching large goods to the walls.

Is this toxic to use on cat scratching posts?

Maybe, but I would reference the note on the can that says: "For additional product health and safety information see material safety data sheet 22-4025-7 or call 1-800-364-3577 (1-800-3M HELPS)" It does emit volatiles and is not for sale in California and a few other states according to label information, but I think that is an environmental air pollution concern. However, I think it might be safe for pets when fully cured unless ingestion of particles is a problem. You should refer to the MSDS, or contact 3M at the number shown above to be sure. You can search the internet for a listing of MSDS sheets to maybe get a PDF copy.

Oh yes. I don’t know if it will hold up on the purse strap through, I’m not sure if it will take the constant movement etc associated with gripping the handle.

I don't think this would be the correct product. Here is an informational site that discusses best options for sealing diamond art. https://paintwithdiamonds.com/blogs/pwd-insider/how-to-seal-your-diamond-painting

Why did you stop selling this in all the Maryland stores

Asked by Pat November 16, 2020

It could be because of its high flammability when uncured, or due to any new rules about volatiles in the state of Maryland. It cannot be sold in California.

GREAT product, follow directions carefully.
Be advised to wear a proper respirator for solvent based vapour, spray well away from sources of ignition (fan motors, HVAC, space heaters, switches, clothing that produces a static charge) and give this product up to two two weeks for off gassing. Used properly, this product has NEVER disappointed me, not in 30 years!

I have been a fan and user of 3M products for the past 60 years.I have trusted their products until recently. I used one can of super 77 that I had in my shop and it worked and stuck all the foam squares to the ceiling of my VO studio The Batch number on the can was 7213CW/A12357/0138. When it ran out I bought another can. It's batch number is A93379329E/0343. Spraying the foam squares in the same manner I have had every one of the squares detach and fall. My faith in 3M products has dissolved because of this situation.

Worked almost too well for what I needed it for. (I.E. Gluing a indoor/outdoor rug to the inside of a metal gun cabinet). I tried to follow the directions and wait for the glue to become tacky, but it seemed to become almost too sticky after I waited so long. Make sure you do not need to move the parts around once contact is made of the two part being glued. All in All the stuff works really well on painted/glossed over metal and fabric projects.

Fantastic Product! I used this adhesive to mount artwork from some nearly 100-year old sheet music to a 4 mil matte board backing. This vintage music would otherwise have crumbled into dust in a few years time. I was glad that I was able to salvage this piece and about 50 others with this amazing adhesive! Easy to use, produces a secure bond between the backing and whatever you choose to bond (artwork, photos, just about anything). Totally met my expectations!

Used to reapply foam padding to a yoga wheel. Foam was initially put on the wheel crooked but the 3M product stays tacky for up to 15 mins which allowed the foam to be re-aligned and it looks great Meets and exceeds expectations

I use this product to adhere fabric, and also grass matting to Luan board. It worked well with the fabric. I probably would use the 80 or higher for the grass matting. But, hey if you are patient and spray both surfaces it will work just fine.
