What is it made of?

What is it made of?
Asked by: Tariq
according to 3M: Mineral Type Silicon Carbide, so I believe it is covered in a bath and fused with silicon carbide, which I believe is the same as what sandpaper is made of. the long fibers themselves I do not think 3M discloses what it is, possibly a plastic , but that is ONLY a guess

i dunno about poly, but should work fine. i gotta great finish on one of the guitars i built with a tru oil finish, so poly should work great. like sandpaper, but easier. two sheets were enough to do 2 guitars, and they're both still useable. check the pic i posted. peace!
