Horrendous Tape
Save yourself the headache and frustration and do not buy this product. The paper backing on the tape does not peel away cleanly and leaves a very thin layer of leftover paper when peeled away. A 15 minute install turned into a 3 hour night of meticulously scraping paper that was left over from the paper backing in order to get the plastic wrap to adhere effectively. I will be staying far far away from this product unless they somehow manage to fix their tape problem.

On smaller windows dryer to tighten wasn't needed. On very cold metal window frames tape would not stick, needs to be above 40° but clear packing tape did work.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this product. I has to assemble the plastic myself and was worried that I would have trouble getting the plastic air-tight. Once I applied hot air to the edges, the plastic sealed and I can no longer feel cold air coming in through my window. Also, I can hardly tell that the plastic is covering the window, it is so clear and wrinkle-free.

The tape sticks to the paper backing better than a
I always buy 3M window Insulator plastic for my windows. But this year they must have changed the formula for the tape. IT IS AWFUL. Fortunately I had some leftover tape from previous years, but buyer beware if you don’t have other tape.
