Hello, Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot for the 3M Lead Paint Removal Respirator (Case of 4). This item is in high demand due to the world wide pandemic, as you well know. We do not have an Estimated time of when we will have more in stock. So it is unable to be purchased at this time. As far a donating goes, we executed a “Stop-Sale” on all N95 masks in stores and HomeDepot.com and redirected all shipments to be donated to hospitals, healthcare providers and first responders around the country. In fact, The Home Depot is donating millions of dollars in personal protective equipment (PPE) and other products and prioritizing fulfillment to hospitals, healthcare providers and first responders. We’ve been marshalling the resources of our merchandising and supply chain teams to globally source quality products and expedite the availability of needed items. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Thank you for shopping Home Depot!

I’m a PA working the ER Tents. Can I use this to protect me from COVID and other viruses?

Asked by FRANK April 6, 2020

The proper answer is yes and no. These types of masks are meant to prevent people like me from getting cancer from breathing in paint fumes or fine sawdust or asbestos or from lead poisoning from from breathing that in during renovations, restorations or whatever. They are NOT meant for the surgical or biological containment. The problem with using these in such a setting is that they are only able to filter particles out of the air you breathe in. The air you exhale is completely unfiltered in any way. Not only is there nothing to stop you from breathing COVID-19 all over your patients if you're infected and don't know it yet but the fine droplets of moisture that can carry the virus for ten feet or more will escape as well and will likely travel a bit further than normal because of the extra effort required to breathe through these masks. If it's a better than nothing situation then these will at least protect you as they will filter out particles down past the size of the coronavirus but they will do nothing to protect your patients or fellow coworkers. Also be aware that the filter cartridges on these are meant to be changed after I think eleven hours of continuous use. So even if you're in a better than nothing situation these will not work long unless you have a large supply of filter cartridges.

How do i clean my mask

Before doffing the mask, make sure you have eye protection in place. Wash your hands. Use gloves and an EPA approved disinfectant wipe. Doff the mask only by the straps. DO NOT touch the front of the mask or the filters and put on a paper towel, front side up. Wipe the exterior, going away from your face. Throw away the wipe. Doff your gloves and wash your hands. Don new gloves. Turn over the mask, holding only the straps. Place on a new paper towel on a hard surface, preferably one that has been sanitized with a wipe. Put the mask front side down on the paper towel, making sure NOT to touch the front of the mask or the filters. Use a new wipe to wipe down the inside of the mask. Follow the manufacturer's recommendation on the wipes for the dwell time (the time that the chemical must remain in a wet state to kill viruses/germs). Doff your gloves. Wash your hands. When the mask is dry, don new gloves and put the mask, front side down, in a brown paper bag and store it in your locker/desk until needed again.

Fit a little too snug then I realized I bought a medium. Make sure to read box and see which size you need. They didn’t have a large in the P100 so I purchased the next step up to the P95.

This us a great particle mask. I have used it at least 3 times now and it is very reliable. I literally did about 8 hours of pretty extensive panel removal and it didn't budge a bit. Checked its fit many times and never had any real leaks. It is comfortable and durable and I think it will last a while. You can remove it easily for a little amount time as it has two different secure points.
