Questions & Answers

will this product adhere to exterior stucco surfaces?

Asked by nick June 20, 2020

the blue tape from 3M isnt super sticky. you may need to put down a first layers of white tape. then put the sheets over that to get it to stick properly and seal

I am looking for a dark cover to put on top of grass I want to kill.

Asked by Daisy April 9, 2016

Any plastic will do. Even clear. Add some sunshine on a hot day and bam. Everything fried crispy in one day. Same thing happens when you leave out a slip'n slide or kiddie pool

How do I get something shipped to home instead of pick up in store default?

Asked by Chris March 25, 2015

"Express Delivery from Store" is now provided in many areas. They'll put it on a store at the store and bring the products to your home. Check again now and see if that's an option (it will be a checkbox under "Pick Up In Store."

Painters insurance
I’m finishing up a living room project and painted the freshly installed shiplap first. Then decided we wanted to paint the ceiling. I decided to tape the edge line first then come back with the scotch painters plastic with tape to protect the whole wall. For the under $8 spend it’s worth a ton more in splatter insurance. It goes on quick just tape the paint line separately for best results. Go and pick up a roll or two and save your self tons of time cleaning up your messes. Believe me I’ve learned my lesson. A+ 3m Scotch product.

First things first. Just like a grenade, pull the pin and chuck it. Unless you have two people it is darn near impossible to use the blue part. It constantly wanted to fold up and unwind. It also doesn't get it close enough to the wall. I used scissors to cut off what I needed. Secondly keep your finger on the tape that you stuck to the wall and only unwind one foot at a time. Then you can use your thumbs with the tape at a 45 degree angle to the corner of the wall to get it right where you want it. Don't get frustrated if the plastic gets under the tape. Keep moving on until you're all the way across the wall. Once it is fully stuck to the wall it is easy to get the plastic back off the tape when you stretch the plastic out. It clings to the wall very nice without the use of extra tape. I sprayed my walls oh, so after a few coats the plastic starts to get heavy oh, so I did add extra painters tape on the corner and in the middle of the plastic. It seems costly but by the time you attach tape yourself to plastic you wasted a lot of time and money. This is the way to go. If you're spraying a wall, when taping the ceiling, extend the taped plastic a foot past the wall. Otherwise you will get overspray on the ceiling.

ScotchBlue Pre-Taped Painter's Plastic Loaded Dispenser
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received a sample product from company to try out and man was I ever happy happy happy. Needed to paint the bathroom after we took off the 1970's wall paper. Worked great and didn't leave any marks on wall or fixtures that I didn't feel like removing. High quality product from a great company. If you ever need to paint don't use the competition as they will leave you disappointed. Plastic dispenser worked great and never left me hanging for a peace of tape.

Easy to use, so long as you're careful; any breeze or fast movement may get the plastic stuck to the tape. Didn't have any major issues, plenty material there to mask several rooms worth of baseboards.

Perfect size to protect surrounding areas from paint drips. The tape sticks well and creates a clean paint line. Where has this been all my life, its a real timesaver and the price is very reasonable considering there is 90-feet of sheeting with tape.
