Where do you place a sbow fence to control wind driven snow?

My driveway is below two higher slopes, where do you put the fence to keep the snow off the drive?

snow fence should be set 30 times it's height from the area you want cleared, yes that is 30x. Check out Wyoming snow fence on utube. I use it every year and have 48 inches plus to deal with. Wydot calculated that "storing snow" was 100x cheaper than moving it. Leave a space under the fence so the wind will keep the fence clear. It doesn't work if the entire fence is buried. after you learn the answer to your question you will enjoy seeing where some people put theirs.

THE PRODUCT WE PURCHASED WE ARE NOT GOING TO USE BECAUSE OF A CHANGE IN PLANS. THE PRODUCT IS;TENAX 4' X 50' ROLL/ORANGE, WE PURCHASED 6 ROLLS AT $23.97/ROLL. THE PACKAGING IS ORIGINAL AND INTACT. As I got to the end of the roll, it appeared to be stretched on one side making it difficult to attached to posts without sagging. Will see how it performs this winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not your typical use but worked great anyway! We used this fencing as a quick and temporary solution to keep our dogs in a safe environment while away on a weeks vacation. Kennel space was not available and we could only find someone to keep an eye on them. With automatic feeders, watering and a doggie door, all we needed was a way to keep them from getting out of the yard. I don't think the dogs jumped on the fencing but I feel it would have stood up to their abuse. It was a strong enclosure that was kept up with galvanized posts, screwed into the house siding on one end and hooks on the other for easy access. It was kept taut by slightly stretching the fencing to hook it onto the posts. It didn't tear or become loose from all the stretching.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not Just for Snow!!! Great product. Simple to put up. The best part is it is durable AND lightweight. Use it to temporarily keep the dogs out of parts of the backyard to allow new grass seed to take root. Shipped without a hitch!
