Does this work on 4" cast iron drain pipes ?

It has a 1 inch opening

Yes it would work for that. Just make sure to get 5-6 layers over the hole itself.

Watched the YouTube video. Applied it to the PVC Tube in my hot tub. The stuff didn't stick to anything. After 20 minutes it was stiff, but still hadn't formed a bond. After an hour I just pulled it off and threw it away. Absolute garbage.

It had been repaired several times using a TV advertised spray, but always began leaking again. The application of the wrap was easy but I did make a terrible mistake. I followed the directions but then took off the plastic gloves to use my scissors and neglected to slip them back on. After applying the wrap or tape to my satisfaction, I looked down at my hands with horror. It took a day and a half to remove the black tar substance from my hands. Use the gloves! The difficulty cleaning my hands showed me how good the product was going to work.

I liked the simplicity of using this product - MUCH FASTER than an epoxy or fiberglass solution for this application. I used it to repair a neighbors fence rail as a temporary fix. We pulled off the end fence picket and tightly wrapped the rail. After the product hardened, we simply re-attached the rail with a hanger bracket that firmly attached to the wrap that was around the fence rail. Follow the product instructions and be sure to use the plastic work gloves (included) as the wrap is sticky and PVC wrap (included) to tighten the product wrap around the item to be repaired. I recommend this product for these types of application and will consider it for similar needs. Note. The wrap is black and not the prettiest repair but it works. I made no attempt and can not vouch for its paintability.

I even went back for a second package thinking more raps would work but it did not. I believe this material is too porous to fix any kind of leak. It may be good on repairing a broken rake but I'm not sure I would trust in for any application. Wasted $9.99 ...twice!!
