Hello, you could use either Acrylic or Polycarbonate for this application. You can order cut to size material through Home Depot's Special orders program. Thank you.
I'm not sure I completely understand the question, but I'll tell you what I think you're asking... and answer that. It sounds like you've got an aluminum frame patio cover, but for some reason there is no 'top' to it? Assuming that is correct and that the aluminum frame is not too far spread out this should work. If your supports are more than about a foot apart, you're probably going to get some sagging otherwise, you should be able to attach it directly to the frame. The material can be drilled, so I'd put the holes lined up with the supports. Then I'd see if screws or pop-rivets would work best. With either option, I'd put a rubber washer over the fastener (small 'O'-Rings might be easiest to find) then insert it and snug it down from the top (not all the way to avoid cutting the rubber washer). I would imagine one fastener spaced at 1' intervals should work fine to hold it in place.
Hello, there are a few options for this. Silicone sold in the Acrylic display (SKU# 101241 or 600504) is an options. Also drilling holes is performed best on a drill press with commercially available plastic cutting drill bits. The bit should enter the acrylic sheet at a slow feed rate, then a steady rate producing two continuous spiral chips, finally exiting through the acrylic slowly, eliminating chipping. Lastly, Please see the attached fabrication guide: http://www.plaskolite.com/Media/Get/97?inline=True. Thank you.

Hello, yes this would work for that application - thanks.
Hello, this can be used as a shower door replacement, thank you.
I don't think Home Depot will cut it for you. When I cut mine I first tried a jigsaw with a wood cutting blade. That cut through very fast, but when I pulled back the protective sheeting, I could see that it didn't cut it so much as just shatter its way through. I swapped to a metal cutting (fine toothed) blade and that cut much slower, but it actually cut it. My jig saw isn't very exact, so once I got it cut down close to the final size, I used my bandsaw with a fine tooth blade and cut it slowly for a very clean, strait final cut.
Hello, we offer dry erase acrylic - please search for Model # 25524102, thank you!
Hello, yes you can paint this material, and 1/8" thickness would work, thank you.
This material will reduce some outside noise. Depending on the thickness this product will work for this application.
