Q:Will this replace the masco 32192. Which has the plastic 3/4 thread on the inside to fit the 3/4 fitting that's on teh 1/2 inch copper pipe. The diverter is dropping and I do not want to have to have a plumber come out to sweat teh fitting off.

Very Satisfied With My Purchase!
I recently purchased this new Delta diverter spout for my bathtub and I have been very satisfied so far with it. My only complaint is that it was kind of pricey, but my other one lasted for 20 years, so I really can't complain too much.

Easy to install but quality can be better
I first bought a Danco universal tub spout with diverter for $20. It turns out the installation is not simply. The extension nipple is made of plastic. Some plastic parts broke and it leaks. I returned it and bought this Delta spout for a little less than $30 from a different HD location 10 miles away. The extension nipple (connects to the wall pipe) is made of copper/brass in this Delta spout. The interior section is made of plastic. This spout is made of plastic with chrome plated. Be sure to hand tighten to the wall pipe or use strap wrench, no pipe wrench. It works great with no leaks. I would pay more for a metal spout.

I bought it because I needed a direct replacement technically it’s fine, and it was what I needed to use. I believe it was overpriced. We’ve seen these items go up in price in these inflationary times.
