W natural reed fence is made for patio shading, concealing unsightly objects, soundproofing, duck blinds and other outdoor uses as well. Is one roll very see through ?

AnswersI just put this up, hung vertically around my covered patio for shade. It provides about 40% opacity -- not the density it appears to be in website photos. Can see through from the inside, but cannot see through from outside. Air easily circulates. It is reed grass interwoven with a very fine wire, and is a very cheap stuff... overpriced. The brand name on my product is Vigoro.
How long will it last if it’s out in the sun?

AnswersI think the real problem is direct sunlight time and humidity. Mine gets direct sun most of the day and, of course, high humidity. The color starts to change and then the integrity of the reeds give way. I live in Florida and mine looks good for about a year. I am replacing now and considering coating it to weather proof!

AnswersYou can cut it but it compromises the way the fence is held together and it most definitely is not sound proof

AnswersThe wire is twisted at almost every slat. Cutting it won't make it fall apart.

Horrible quality. They were out of the Master Garden Products reed fencing so my only choice was this garbage. Put 2 layers on and can still see right through it. It was cheaper but I got what I paid for. Do not buy this! You can see the difference. The fencing on the right if 2 layers of Master Garden fencing. What a disappointment.
Love this stuff. Gave my roof top some much needed shade and privacy as well!

We used 16 panels of this bamboo reed fencing in our back yard. Secured them with duty Staples over hour take this Staind wooden fence. Turned out beautifully!

My girlfriend was looking for a way to create some privacy in her back yard. We considered bamboo but then found these reed privacy fences. They were super easy to install on the metal fence that was already there. She now has a very nice private back yard that had added a great look and class to her back yard! She is super happy with these! We started on her back fence and she liked it so much she went down to HD and got give more and now her entire back yard is private and looks great!
It exceeded her expectations
Everything to like about it nothing not to like about it!
They were installed about two weeks ago!

My kids and I live in a busy downtown area and our yard has been transformed by this reed fencing! For extra privacy I used two layers, which is definitely worth it for the price. I've used 2 rolls in the Zen yard and 4 rolls in the pool area. I'm very happy with how this reed fencing has held up through 60mph winds and tropical rains. I highly recommend it to anyone for privacy, durability, and ambiance!
