Nice solid railing for the money
Installed 2 railings,1 on either side of new 7 step outdoor pressure treated stairway. Product went up solid, using 2 offset railing brackets for each, finishing with 2 end caps for each. Used a #10 self centering bit (Bosch) for a perfect center of the drill holes. I will agree with some of the other reviews that the plastic sleeve is quite soft. Only 4 stars because the plastic cover was 1/4" short of the inner aluminum pipe, leaving that pipe exposed.

Looks good from a distance
If you choose to purchase this product use extreme caution to avoid scratching the outer plastic during assembly. Also, drilling through the aluminum is no easy task and results in a lot of metal shavings. I live in Minnesota where it gets 30 below in the winter and 95 in the summer; it will be interesting to see how the plastic holds up over time. The brackets are solid. Another concern are the rings, fingernails and keys that will most definitely scratch this plastic surface from general use.

easy to install, and very solid
I put this on the steps from the side door to the carport - this is the most traveled path in and out of our house. And when it rained (and even worse when there was freezing rain) the most dangerous. But with stair-tread-tape and an handrail, it's now about as safe as it can be.
The install took a couple of hours, because the wall I mounted it on is natural stone, bit with fiddling, we found the right position and length, cut it, and I got it up. Very solid, and I think it looks good.
