      Answer This Question

A:  Hello, yes and yes. You can cut the bottom down and rebuild, but it should be done by a professional carpenter. A special order pocket door frame with the size needed can also be ordered from Home Depot door department desk as well. Just a note that you will probably need a door that is smaller as well. Thanks

Made of very poor quality wood, seemed like it was manufactured using scrap wood. The wood split very easily and the rails weren't exactly aligned well

These pocket doors are excellent to do their job especially with the track and rollers that they have on them.

        Good enough
Rollers glide very nicely and installation is straight-forward, which is good considering it really doesn't have any "useful" instructions aside from the couple pictures on the box. I did have to trim almost a 1/4" of one side of the top frame where it didn't sit flush with the backside. And the angle bracket on the other end of the header needed repositioned as it was seated too far back. I added additional 3/4" boards into the top two cavities so things could be hung if needed.

Rail mounting to the frame was just ok. I had to predrill and use longer screws for a more solid connection. Screws strip quite easily so you need to be careful. I also anchored the top rail and back of the frame for a more solid installation.
