what they tell you is +-5% here is what I found ...I hooked it up to the house but did test voltage b4 I hooked it up ..well my house fixtures and devices IE cams security and such started to blink out.. my computer UPS would not accept the power and stayed on battery. I lost a ice maker and a few security cams and a VR recorder b4 I realized what had happened.. @ 115VAC the unit produces a avg 325 Hz and a avg 425 Hz @ 220VAC Well I contacted AI-Power since the 30 days had passed on the home depot warranty was told there was a AVR module that I could replace on my own if I wanted to.. sure it beats waiting a month or packing and drying this unit up for reshipping.. waited a week and received the AVR with no instruction or "How To manual" on what to do with it.. Called AI-Power and they could not send me a video they promised during tech support call or a step by step.. only a few still pics and a conversation via their iPhone. I was able to swap the AVR because of my previous experience as an Electrician but to my surprise it performed the same way. This unit is approved for Electronics and should be within +- .1% of 60Hz but never 325-425Hz There is NO way this Unit could have passed any comprehensive Q/C test b4 it shipped NO WAY! Don't Buy this if your looking for a plug and play unit

DOA Update
Took 3 calls to get through to customer service this morning (first 2 were voip phone mailbox auto direct and mailbox full problems) but i was finally able. The person on the other end was helpful and i was finally able to get the generator started. It all came down to a bad low oil sensor and relay. They are going to send a replacement sensor, i think. I don't think they understood the relay was bad as well. When i responded, i gave them all the technical info and all the reference info they asked for. I even sent photo's as the generator engine i was given doesn't match any of their documents in so far as appearance and wiring. I expected another response / confirmation, but crickets. As far as the propane problem, no response, i got it running on gas and i think they thought that was good enough. I resealed the brass adapter and tightened it down. I then ran it on gas and switched to propane, everything seemed to be fine. I'm a techie, so i then took some measurements. The AC voltage measured 118 volts AC RMS. The frequency was measured at over 300 Hz. The meter i used was a Fluke Model 87, last NIST calibration was done last year. I ran a vacum off of it, a 1/2 inch drill, and lastly a 25 gallon compressor. All seemed to work, however, they did exhibit higher than normal operating temperatures. With no load and with load the frequency stayed at over 300 Hz. Do I or should I trust this with a refrigerator, a freezer, a furnace, and 3 air conditioners ? I really don't know. My old generator, 12 years old, with no regulation, put out 110 VAC RMS at between 59 and 61 Hz. I do want to thank Dee for the offer to replace this unit, and maybe we should do that, as i don't know what their policy is on replacing my appliances being burnt out due to faulty regulation or generation. I have my doubts about the one i got. The frequency measurements should not be in this range under any circumstances, even with the worst of generators. The case number from this morning is # 201409-16106. Dee, if you read this, send me an e-mail or contact me.
