Does it have to be installed in the first position? I am planning on installing a generator interlock as well.
The THQLSURGE2 is recommended to installed in the 1st position, it does not have to be. It can be installed in other positions. Thank you for your question.
From the warranty this must be installed by a licensed electrician. If it is installed correctly but not by a licensed electrician does that void the warranty?
How is this a type 1 SPD? By all definition it is a type 2.
What size surge arrester is required for a Siemens 200amp service w/sub-panel commercial/residential property?
What is the clamping voltage?

Can this be used in a GE panel that accepts THQL circuit breakers? It doesn’t say THQLSURGE or THQLSURGE2 on the panel.
It will work in a panel labeled for THQL breakers.
Is this a one time use , or after it trips it needs to be replaced or those it reset itself ?
Both
It can’t be reset. Once the green light goes out, the surge protector needs to be replaced.
