          A:  Works great for my model 3. This solves the "different plug" problem. I solved the length problem by getting a light-weight 36-foot NEMA 14-15 10AWG (!!) extension cord. Ordinarily it should be 6AWG, but with kit-limited 24A draw the extension cord gets only slightly warm even when coiled up (a "no no" I feel compelled to mention).

            The kit's Tesla adapter limits the current to 24A, which was not mentioned in the spec but is a great safety feature as most of the plug converters should never draw more than that (continuously). It can used without worrying about accidentally popping a breaker or melting something.
