Cordless Top Down-Bottom Up Honeycomb Cellular shades are amongst the most popular and modern styled window coverings. Simply use the included operation handles to glide the shade into the desired height from the top or the bottom of the shade. The soft, durable, ¾ inch, pleated cells are light filtering and insulate the room all year long. Their white backing will make the outside of your home look uniform and crisp, great for boosting curb appeal. All colors, except alabaster, have a white backing. The Top Down Bottom Up Honeycomb Cellular Shade is great for either inside or outside window frame mounting. The non-woven polyester fabric is easy to care for, simply dust or lightly vacuum. Love the versatility as well as the illumination when they are closed. Other makers offer custom sizing, so make sure these standard sizes cover all the glass of your window. Installation was easy, I did pre-drill the holes for easier screwing.

30 day warranty, BEWARE!
I installed 3 of these in early April. liked them so much I bought 6 more. Now one of the first ones I installed has failed. The cord attachment at the bottom disconnected on one side. The blind will not raise, and hangs with the bottom at an angle. When I contacted Achim, I was informed there is only a 30 day warranty. Home depot lists 180 day return policy, but who saves their packaging for return???

Looks nice, but one is already broken...
We ordered seven of these shades about a month ago. They function as advertised and were easy to install. Unfortunately after minimal use over this period of time, one of them is already broken. A chord which should stretch to the bottom to keep the right side in place has pulled itself about a third of the way up the shade, leaving everything below to hang down at a skewed angle. It is not clear how we can fix this...hoping we don't have to buy a new one after only a month! I've called ACHIM customer service and am hoping to hear back.

Nice shade!
It's very decent quality and easy to install. The texture is nice and I love the feature of top-down bottom-up. We can now have natural sunlight and keep privacy. Highly recommend!

I am in love with these shades. I have had them up for two weeks. They let in a great amount of light while ensuring privacy which is what I was looking for. This is my first time buying honeycomb/cellular shades,so my frame of reference is the traditional vinyl mini blinds. This was a huge upgrade for me. I love the cordless function. The blinds go up and down smoothly on both the top up and bottom down sections. The construction seems very sturdy. The top rail is made of a thick plastic and the blinds were really easy to install.
The color is also a nice ivory type color. NOTE, the only downside to such a light color is that the shadows from the outside may reflect onto the shade. I have a lot of trees outside my window, so there sometimes my blind looks like it is covered in green splotches, but it is simply a shadow.
The price is also a stretch. I love these but I don't know if the price is comparable to similar products.
