Good temporary fix
I put them in the guest room which has a slab floor. I had painted the concrete, but it still looked too unfinished. My 6 boxes of tan were all the same color and i noticed the nap right away. I used a chalk line to make a cris cross like any other floor and mapped it so i had to do minimal cutting. I found a new, sharp utility knife blade, a steel square, and a cutting mat worked best for me. If you only unpeel a single edge of the backing, and get that in place, at the same time snugging it against the tile next to it, the tile stays square. Once that first edge is stuck down, slowly peel the backing out from under while keeping the edge next to sister tile and you are all right. If you get off square, just trim the tile you are about to put down to get back on track . I used a wall paper seam roller to roll each edge of the tiles as soon as i had two next to each other. I also prepped the floor with grease cutter and a good vacuuming. If my floor had been unpainted, i would suggest priming with something like kilz. This is because i put a spare tile down on bare concrete in the garage in front of the washer and it came off in about a month, no water or anything. Just clean bare concrete. So, i would prime. I say temporary fix because these are thin and do not have padding. I knew that going in. I vacuum them with a canister vac, not an upright. They do fine. I plan on putting in a vinyl plank floor in all the bedrooms at some point, and likely just leaving these down, if they are still clean. But in the meantime, they look nice- but - unremarkable, its been 7 months and they are staying down, and i didnt have to move all the furniture out like i would have if a pro had put them in. I prepped and did 2/3, moved the bed, then did the other 1/3.

    Its all Smoke snd Mirrors
At first i thought I was going to love this flooring. It looked easy to install, especially in the basement area of our home. I knew there would be some color variation in the tiles but thought by mixing the boxes and rotating every other tile it would be fine. I was WRONG. The color of the tiles are so different from box to box that I went back to make sure the boxes were actually the smoke color. It looks terrible. Most of the tiles stick to the floor but i even noticed a difference in tje stickiness of the backing from box to box. Save your money and get a better quality probuct.

Tile look great and were easy to install. Would love it if the 12x12 carpet tiles were available in stores and not just online. I noticed your store employees thought they were nice, had never seen them and thought the same thing.
