The other answers here are incorrect and misleading. The 22" width fits in between a 2 x X joist with an additional 1/2" of space to allow for adjustment within the cavity. Math: 24" O.C. Joist - 3/4" - 3/4" ( Half the width of a the 2 x X on both sides) leaves a 22 1/2" cavity in which to place the vent. Given the fact this vent is 22" wide. that allows for approx 1/4" of adjustment on both sides of the vent. On an unrelated note here is another item that other commenters could benefit from https://www.homedepot.com/p/Calculated-Industries-Construction-Master-5-Calculator-4050/100324426
Per the description these are sold individually. However there are 50 pcs in an unopened case.
You stated "high velocity". The space between the baffle and the roof sheathing needs to be increased to slow the velocity. Air moving too fast cannot transfer heat efficiently.
No, to increase the length of run you will need to purchase an additional vent and install them in a "shingled" pattern.
I used 3/8 and they held good. You definitely want short enough staples that they don't poke through the outside of your roof.
I would not recommend a spray foam or adhesive. The foam will have an issue holding even that much weight without you holding it for an hour or two. When summer hits, the attic gets very hot. The spray adhesives could become weak. The only thing needed to secure these is about 4 - <1/2" nails. That will ensure the air can circulate into the attic, and you can insulate over to the edge of your home. Hope this helps.
It has never been tested - please call 952-885-7216 - Leave message and you will receive a call back - we need more information on your attic.
I believe you are asking me if these will fit in a car? If you purchase these from a Home Depot, the product is 22" wide by 48" long - 50 pieces will be approximately 4' tall. When I move these between facilities as a sales person I put the short end on the passenger floor and lean the long (48") into the seat (I lay the seat back slightly so they don't bounce as much). Hopefully this answers your question.
The Net Free Air is 26 square inches for the Provent 22".
