Beautiful, sleek, and modern. This AKDY RH0435 30 under cabinet range hood defines contemporary expressions. It is finished in a brushed stainless steel, An oblong black touch panel adorns the front for easy to use options. The range hood has three fan speeds with a powerful suction of 343 CFM. Three baffle filters help filter out cooking debris away from your kitchen and family. Two LED lights on the bottom corners illuminate your stove-top for late night cooking. Included is a clock as well as an auto shut off for up to 99 min. All our range hoods come with a three-year limited parts warranty.A carbon filter kit is also included (CF0011)

AnswersLooks like the free filters are used to filter the air that would be flowing into the duct. This cleans the air that will simply flow past the filters then enter back into the room as it is filtered on the exit port. The carbon filters should be replaced every 2-3 months for proper flow.

AnswersThe lights are not that light, maybe I will try and change the bulbs I don't know what they are called, if you look up on the under part of the fan you will see 3 slots that you can take off and wash, I like to clean the underside after cooking but its very hard to put back up. So for that reason I wish I never bought it.

The overall build quality exceeded my expectation. Unit is somewhat heavy and so a two-person team is required for installation. I used a piece of cardboard that came with the unit to make a template. I wish the manufacturer would provide that template. It would make installation much easier. I also wish the unit is wrapped in plastic (much like how refrigerators are delivered to protect the stainless steel surface). Mine has a thin scratch about 5 inches long (not sure when I scratched it, or if I did). The included flexible air duct is great, except that it could rip. Mine did while securing the hose clamp. Be careful! I wouldn't say installation is easy, but it is certainly doable with patience and planning.
Operating the unit is very easy. Just push a button and the unit starts. The LED light is comfortably bright. The noise level is higher than I would like. Low setting is already quite audible. Medium setting is loud enough to require dialing up my TV volume. The highest setting while quite loud, is tolerable. Air flow is better than expected. Even on low, it draws a sheet of paper to the baffle about an inch away. Cleaning the baffles should be easy. The baffles come in three pieces. It is easiest to remove the middle piece, then move the side pieces to the middle before removing. There's also a collector in the back while oil drips into, which is also easily removable.
Aesthetically, it is simple, modern, and eye pleasing. In place of my old range microwave, not only does it make the kitchen look updated, it also does a far better job in exhausting air while cooking. I am happy with the purchase.

The display was faulty from the start. No info in the booklet about warranty or how to contact the manufacturer. I had to search for info. Then I had to contact them, several times. They asked for video of the problem, then complained when the screen was blank, as the display would turn off randomly. My advise, don't get this.
