The very bottom device on this fixture (if you can see the picture - shows a wand attachment) provides a direct discharge if nothing (such as the wand) is attached. The tub can be filled via this outlet.

I have 60 psi in my home and 2 of these units and both allow decent pressure with jets and shower head running at same time. Also there are water restriction grommets inside where you hook up the supply lines. Remove these and pressure will increase. I wouldn't suggest removing those if your psi is higher than 60 though. Higher pressure will cause damage to unit. Also there is no tub faucet on this Akdy unit.

I used 1/2” and it’s fine.

The horizontal jets are powerful but they do not pulse.

This unit is pre-plumbed, all you do is make the hot and cold water connections. There is no need for any other controller. The stainless steel turn knobs on it are the controls, bottom knob is the mixing valve for controlling the water temperature, the other knobs are for each individual function, overhead shower, overhead water fall, vertical shower heads and the hand wand.
