Product Overview

ALEKO awning is the first choice for most home owners who choose a manually-operated model. This model requires no electricity. It opens and closes easily in less than a minute, using a simple hand crank that operates smoothly and quietly. Optional accessories feature support arms that can be positioned vertically on the patio floor or angled back against your house wall to provide better fabric tension and overall stability. Another useful optional part is a ceiling mounting bracket-sold separately- to attach your awning to the roof overhang of your house. All awnings come with pre-drilled holes to make accessory attachment a breeze. The awning can be used on its own or with 2 strong, reliable support arms, sold separately, that can be installed vertically on a deck or patio floor or angled against your house wall. Made of 100% Polyester the patios are completely shielded from sun and rain. Assembly required.

Web page says 10 ft wide but specs say 96 inch. Which is it? I need finished product to be 10 ft.

It's 10 ft wide

Can you extend the awning out partially? I.e. Out to 72 inches instead of 96 inches?

Yes, we do that all the time.

What kind of assembly is required?

Total assembly, and the instructions and drawings are less than clear, but you can do it.

The awning is very sturdy and well manufactured. the only drawback is the instructions. if you're not handy-man like you will struggle to install it. if that is the case i would recommend you to hire an installer

Bought one of these last year. The instructions were less than clear for assembly, but we muddled thru. It lasted all summer, faded a bit, but performed its function. We live on a major river, that can have high winds, so we never keep it open if we are not using it. We removed it for the winter to slow the fading. Not a bad buy, we are looking to get another one to cover the other half of our long deck, and we’ll have to figure out how to assemble and install again.

Biggest piece of crap I ever had to install, and I’m a licensed electrician! This things instructions were less than helpful it was like reading Chinese stereo instructions. It took 4 times longer to assemble than to actually hang it. The 10’ awning shipped in a 5’ box. The company sucks.
