Abrasions to Finish

As I install smart bulbs, I am removing some light switches. So, I needed to replace a two switch plate with a one switch and one outlet plate. Unlike some reviews, the screws included were the medium length screws and plenty long. My problem was the finish. It has numerous abrasions, and looks bad. Not being solid Brass, but a brass finish, I suspect it will look worse in time.

Easy update to your older wall plate. The 1-toggle wall plate is metal with a brushed nickel finish. It was very easy to install. Since it is metal, you have to be careful that you don’t scratch it with the screwdriver during installation. It’s amazing how a simple update is so noticeable on a wall that you look at everyday. I’m going to go get some more to replace the others in that area so that they match.

I have to say Amerelle makes a nice ( and affordable) product. I wanted this brished nickel wall plate ( matches the hardware in my master bedroom) to change out an old basic boring white one. I like that this comes neatly packaged and ready to install. It is not overly heavy ( a plus) and it has nice, clean lines. It is an attractive addition to the room and I love it. ( it's the little touches that matter with decor)

The wall plate was a great addition to any room. What stands out most is the excellent detail and heavy sturdy make of the wall plate. It was to add to a room that I already had some new gold plates for but as shown in photos there was a big difference in the quality of the items. The quality is exceptional and the difference in the two is obvious on sight. It was twice the weight of the original item and the detail far exceeded my expectations. The comparison to a similar showed me just how exceptional the quality is. I want all of the plates in the room from hampton bay! 5 star for sure
