42 in. Outdoor Fireplace Wood Chiminea Burning Fire Pits with Wood Storage

This fire pit is decent but has some minor finish issues right out of the box. It had chips outside, and interior surface rust (the cap). Everything you need to assemble the unit is in the box, allen wrenches, small wrench, cotton work gloves. The firepit includes a lightweight cover (no ties), and a log tool. The tool is lightweight and the wood handle on mine is chipped. The instructions are just a parts list and diagram. I would definitely put some logs in the woodbox, not only for aesthetics but to weigh it down in high wind gusts. The unit comes to life when lit, and the design with the wood box beneath makes it suitable to keep on a deck. Aside from the minor finish issues, this is a great yard addition!

This fire pit is decent once assembled but it does have some minor “fit and finish” issues right out of the box. It arrives in an 18x18x24 box and everything in the box is securely packed and wrapped, and has bumper corners, and cardboard double wrapped on some pieces. Even so, my fire pit has some bare metal areas, scratches, and even some possible rust on one interior surface (the cap). I’ll touch it up with high heat rust protection paint but I shouldn’t have to for a brand new item! Everything you need to assemble the unit is in the box, allen wrenches, small wrench, and even cotton work gloves. The firepit includes a lightweight cover (no ties), and a log tool. The tool is lightweight and the wood handle on mine is chipped so I’m adding some wood putty and sealer. The box also contains a “free gift” metal tag with the company logo. Unpacking took a few minutes as everything was wrapped and taped very securely. The instructions are just a parts list and diagrams so take your time and make sure you use the right screws during the correct steps. If you have larger hands, some screwing steps will be harder for you. I’d actually suggest attaching and securing the firebox to the base BEFORE securing the base to the wood box. The diagrams show those steps the other way around and I found it difficult to get my arms/hands in the firebox and woodbox after completing the first step. Once assembled it looks nice and seems solid enough. I would definitely put some logs in the woodbox, not only for aesthetics but to weigh it down in high wind gusts, just as a precaution to prevent tipping. The unit looks great in general but comes to life burning logs especially at night, and the design with the wood box beneath makes it suitable to keep in a deck surface. It is large enough to be a focal point in a yard, but small enough to fit in tighter outdoor spaces, away from combustable surfaces of course! Aside from the minor finish issues, this is a great yard addition!

Love this fireplace. The Handy person assembled this fireplace. I would appreciate if it came with legs but other than that it’s excellent !!!! I put it further back in the yard on a concrete pad that we use to place 20x20 tents on, occasionally for parties. I also appreciate that it’s solid and no ashes are able to get through to the bottom portion where logs can be stored or placed for later usage. Love that it has a cover !!!!!

The paint on the exterior of the chiminea peeled off on the first day I burned

My trusted old friend, a ceramic chiminea, suffered a cracked chimney this past spring with fluctuating weeks of 75* and 24*. I chose to replace that old friend with the 42 in. Outdoor Fireplace Wood Chiminea Burning Fire Pit w/Wood Storage. I like the overall design of this unit's 360* view and wood storage, especially the safety feature of screen around the firepit and up the chimney. You can build a fire that's more than just a few skinny logs. Living at the edge of a forest here on the mountain I'm always concerned with burning in open firepits and the crackling cinders floating up from the fire. This wood burning chiminea is a real winner for us! The unit itself is a snap to assemble. Comes with a dust cover but I'll by using our chiminea cover to protect the unit over winter.

No matter which way the wind is blowing, this chiminara manages to get the smoke back in your face. I don't know how that's possible, but it does that job well. Looks decent and to be fair, throws off some decent heat if you can bear the smoke. Pointless when you have to sit 10ft away from it. Ash containment is non-existant, at least you don't have to worry about cleaning that out. Overall, functionally it's terrible unless you're trying to smoke catfish but if you want a decorative piece for your patio you'll never use, this things for you. I'd have been better off with a steel car rim.

Size is quite the dissapointment. All components in the box wrapped well. One small hex bolt would not accept the wrench, hex not cleared out. Had to use my own hex key set, due to cheap supplied wrenches stripped. Will look deeper into its replacement when this wears out. Material of box is very thin. I suppose you can say not a good buy!
