My water still smells. But it is better but undrinkable. When I say undrinkable I didn’t get it tested so technically it could be pure enough to drink, but the smell of sulfur turns you off. I still use it for washing up a few things in my sink because it does reduce the sulfur smell. It is easy to install. Just screw out the screen and replace it with the one provided. The display is unreadable for tall people. I must bend down to see the usage display. But that’s not a big deal. The filter is easy to replace just unscrew the the top with the wrench provided. If your water isn’t as bad as ours you may find this product useable.

DigiPure 9000S Digital Water Filter This is an excellent water filter with a few caveats. This water filter attaches by a hose to the end of your faucet, for this to work you must have a faucet with a removable aerator. Many of today’s kitchen faucets no longer have this. To begin you install the included batteries under the plate on the bottom of the filter housing, the batteries are suppose to last for a year. Next remove the aerator from your faucet and replace it with the aerator/diverter for the filter. You then install the hose onto the diverter. Your filter is now ready to be used. To use the filter turn on the faucet and pull out on the stick lever on the side of the diverter, water will flow out the filter tap. Initially you should let it run for about 5 minutes to flush out the filter. When you turn off the faucet the water stops flowing, sometimes slowly other times with some spurts. You will certainly want the tap sitting over the sink because at times water drips out after the flow stops. The digital display comes on showing the remaining capacity of the filter and it will turn red when you need to replace the filter (after 1500 Gallons). I was afraid that changing the filter would be a real mess but I simply unscrewed and removed the filter cover and no water ran out. You then lift the old filter off and replace it with a new one. The actual filter cartridge installed inside is really interesting, in looking at the filter it appears to have four different materials that the water passes through. I am not sure what they are but I believe they do a great job of removing chlorine, sediment and other thing you don’t want in your water. The users manual does not say what the filter is, on the box it shows CG010, 5-micron carbon block filter. For someone looking for a counter top water filtration device if this one will work with your faucet it would be a great choice. Pros Easy hookup Attractive Great at filtering water Long lasting filter (1500 Gallons) Cons Will not work on some faucets Tap needs to be over sink Replacement filter not clearly identified

Living in a small suburb with tap water, that is, to say the least, suspiciously suspect, especially due to the amount of times that the road water pipes are dug up and then dug up again some months later. Our water has always tasted acidity for years (the PH level was tested and found to be 5.5 with the ideal neutral level being 7 and so we opted for a `standalone` water filter that took up a lot of space in our refrigerator. Then we bought bottled water, mainly for the kids to take to school, but was getting expensive as well as not realizing we have run out. And so, we acquired this 7-Stage Counter Top Filtration System complete with LCD Display. Very clear instructions are supplied as well an AA battery and all fittings. It is straight forward to install it with the hose sliding into the fitting easily and securely. Just tighten the screw on fitting as well as the bit that goes on the faucet, switch the unit on and you’re all good to go. Initially the display will show 1500 gallons before you use any water out of the device. The idea of the audible alarm once the filter requires changing is an excellent concept. The four things I like most are: It has a very good clear read out and is easy and straight forward to install. Heavy at 5Lbs (it won’t fall over if knocked) The water spout moves to vertical and slides back and forth. (Nice to get the spout out of the way sometimes) The PH testing of the water that emanates from this filter is 6.9 (excellent)

I say yes on the recommendation partially. The unit is stylish and filters water nicely. However you have to connect it to your sink faucet which makes it very difficult to use. No easy way to attach directly to water as it needs a shut off which it does not have. In other words if your water is on you pull the handle and it dispenses water. For someone who needs to filter their water with a faucet that is in a fixed position this is the unit for you. The quality is solid but there are very few instructions specifically telling you what it does and does not filter out of the water. The water tasted good I would say. I will keep this and use it but am going to use it for my outside garage sink for fresh water for me and for my dog. I have to admit I was a bit disappointed in the lack of over all instructions but for someone this would make a good water filter just dont like the design and difficulty finding a location where my faucet wouldnt pull it into the sink if it was moved.

The countertop water filtration unit. Installation was a breeze. Follow the instructions to replace your existing aerator with the supplied bypass aerator switch. Push in and tighten down the flexible hose to the bypass switch, install the two AA batteries (included) and the unit is ready to go! Took me all of 5 minutes; would have been two minutes if I didn't unscrew the filter housing to peek at the filter element, lol! The filter element itself is 5 stage; two stages of fine sediment removal, a stage of chloramine removal, a coconut carbon stage for odor and chlorine removal, and a calcite stage to raise the ph level (lowering acidity levels) . My one comment for a design change would be that they place the hose on the side of the unit so I can place the unit flush against the countertop backsplash. But I supposed they did it this way so you can place the unit on either side of your sink. Opening the box, I was a little disappointed with the packaging. The unit just sat inside the box with no padding or protection for the chrome housing or the spout. Personally, I would like to have seen even a simple bubble wrapped bag placed over the housing and spout for protection in transit. The two batteries are supposed to last you a whole year. Overall, it's a good unit, I just wished it was better protected for transit and perhaps a hose placement designed to allow it to sit flush against counter backsplash. It was a breeze to install, and if you're looking for a countertop filtration solution, this is easy peasy. Seriously, 5 minutes to install and working. Versus if you wanted an under counter solution; that's a lot of extra manpower with plumbing and such. Plus, this solution is more portable than a plumbed in one.

            Anchor water filter
I had to return the filter, water taste was so awful that I couldn't stand the taste of it. I drink 6 cups of water daily and every time I drank a glass I felt that terrible taste. On top of that I lost $25 for shipping since Home Depot doesn't ship to Puerto Rico eve though we have 3 stores in the city. I had the filter sent to my brother in Florida and he sent it to me. The filter is a total waste of money, I don't recommend it.

I love this water filter. It was so easy to install and my water tastes so much better. I am so happy I decided to upgrade to this one after my PUR filter failed me.
