Melody Series 8 in. Widespread 2-Handle Mid-Arc Bathroom Faucet in Polished Chrome

The faucet itself seems to be decent quality. The parts that arrived in the box were actually sized for a 12" spread (the "flexible tube" that serves as the manifold joining hot, cold and spout). I contacted Home Depot to help me source the correctly sized "flexible tube", but Home Depot was not able to reach a live person at Anzzi. I spent the next two weeks exchanging emails and pictures with Anzzi's customer service and then sat on the phone for over 90 minutes before the customer service rep told me that an 8" "flexible tube" did not exist and that I needed to twist the 12" tube in a manner to make it function properly. I was able to bend the tubing with a bit of trepidation, but the tube now interferes with the proper functioning of the drain stopper. Bottom line: I wouldn't repeat this purchase without knowing all the properly-sized hardware exists in the box and Anzzi's customer service is woefully understaffed.

There is clearly a difference between faucets. You can get a bargain faucet or you can get a quality faucet. This is a quality faucet and clearly is WAY above average. It offers a very distinctive look, super quality and a unique installation system. As you can see from the picture below, this faucet set has a hose that runs laterally between the hot/cold and center spout. This allows you have a little variance in your widespread faucet. If you want to have a 10" or 12" wide faucet, this installation system will allow that. Which could be great. However, I found that if you wanted to install it at the traditional 8" wide, the lateral hose was a little cramped. If you are working in a tight space, this hose may not have enough room for the required bends to fit. I did talk to the engineers about this and they assured me that the hose would not kink and they designed it this way on purpose. I am not a fan of this design because the hose is 16" long. That is too long. No one wants a faucet where the knobs are 16" apart. Otherwise.....GREAT!!!! I would highly recommend this.

I've truly fallen in love with the Anzzi brand faucets. This is my second one and I can't speak highly enough of them. The quality of these faucets is unparalleled and their finish is outstanding! These are solid metal faucets too, no plastic parts to wear out as the faucet ages. The installation is a snap as well. You can install on of these in about 20 minutes. This incredibly beautiful bathroom faucet kit is extremely high quality in all respects. The parts are forged from Rhino Alloy certified lead-free solid brass. It has a ceramic disk valve for a long lasting, accurate and drip free performance. The oil-rubbed bronze finish has striking reds showing through in various places (see close up image of handle). The installation type is deck mounted 3 hole , the spout reach is 5.65 in., spout height is 2.79 in. and it has a flow rate of 1.5 GPM. Because it is made with extremely high quality parts and materials, this set will give you years of trouble-free use and will look gorgeous too. I'm very satisfied with the ease of installation, and how it dresses up my bathroom. It perfectly matches the other oil-rubbed bronze fixtures installed in the bathroom.

I looked forward to installing these new Anzzi bathroom faucets. I like the look of brushed nickel and I particularly like the retro look of the 4-way faucet handles. The product comes in a sophisticated package of rigid foam; fitting of the type used for delicate electronics. The instructions are easy to follow and installation went smoothly. The design of the faucet retainers eliminates the need for a basin wrench. A standard Philips screwdriver is all that is needed. There is a cutout in each of the washers provided for use with the retainers. They are apparently there to accept one of the three Phillips screws that help to tighten down and secure the faucet. The instructions do *not* make mention of these cutouts. The hot (marked red) and cold (marked blue) faucet bodies are tied together with a reinforced plastic hose. The connections consist of a plastic collar which slips over two o-rings on the faucet body. Push clips hold the collars in place. The length of the hose is overly long for an 8" faucet installation and needs to be scrunched up so as to make the connections. IMO, this scrunching puts uneven pressure on the o-rings and increases the chance for leaking going forward. I would have preferred to see screw-on connections & steel braided hose as opposed to reinforced plastic. A small dab of silicon is recommended for around the base of the faucets, the spout and around the drain flange. Teflon tape is recommended around the threads of the drain tailpiece. Although silicon and Teflon tape are likely standard fare for any contractor, the average homeowner may not have these items on hand thus requiring a trip to the hardware store. Perhaps Anzzi could consider including a small tube of silicon along with a small length of Teflon tape. For the purpose of this review, I installed the drain stopper. It performed as expected. I normally keep a stainless steel screen in place of the stopper. Overall, I'm satisfied with the faucets. They look great and operate smoothly. However, I *do* have some reservations regarding the o-rings & plastic connections.

I shopped at length for the right faucet for my bathroom. Anzzi is durable, solid and the style is exactly what I was looking for. Very classic and heavy. I love it.

Beautiful antique looking faucet. The rubbed oil bronze look is an excellent match with all of my new bathroom fixtures.
