What pH can it produce in water
Hello, The AquaTru Classic Alkaline is designed to produce water with a pH above 7. The Alkaline Mineral Boost filter can raise the pH by approximately 1–4 levels, depending on the starting pH and chemistry of your tap water. Because water quality varies by location, there is no single guaranteed pH level for the filtered water.
I’d like to be able to keep a carafe of water in the refrigerator. Does this come with a carafe?
Hello Laura, This unit does not include a glass carafe. The AquaTru Classic comes with the rear tank for filling with tap water and the front, removable tank for clean water (2.7 L capacity).
How do you clean the component parts, and how often do you need to clean them? Are they dishwasher safe?
Hi Graham, Thank you for reaching out! For your AquaTru Classic, we recommend hand washing both the tap water tank and the clean water tank with mild dish soap about once a week. Please note that none of the parts are dishwasher safe. If you notice mineral buildup, you can soak the tanks in a vinegar and warm water solution or use our AquaTru descaling powder for a deeper clean. This material is BPA- and BPS-free, extremely durable, and specifically designed to ensure that no harmful chemicals or microplastics leach into your water.
