I bought this modem to save the rental fees Comcast was charging me ($11 per month) i'm using this modem for a month already and it's working fine. i'm getting almost 200 Mbps wired and about 50 Mbps wireless. i did my research and i don't think that you can beat that price. great modem router combo for the price range. i don't want to rate it as excellent only because i don't have it long enough.

The modem side or the router/modem combo was good. It gave speed to the ethernet ports at rated (or close to speed). The router side of the modem was slow with dropped connections multiple times a day. The tech support for consumer supplied by Commscope was unhelpful and didn't know the first thing about routers. I will never purchase an Arris Router/Modem (or product) again.

Installation and setup was easy however the range of the signal was poor. I spoke with my internet provider (Cox cable) and they referred me to Arris. The Arris technicians (2, on separate troubleshooting calls) were pleasant but unable to change the WiFi range. Using a RJ45 cable I got > 150 Mbps; my WiFi laptop less than 40 feet away (in the kitchen) was in the 25-30 Mbps range. If I walked outside, ~ 50 feet away, there was no 5Ghz signal and < 20Mbps with 2.4 Ghz. This was worse than my old Netgear device. So now I have a TP-Link CR700 with ~75 Mbps in the backyard. Acceptable.

Excellent performing cable router/modem. Had Cox cable installed and the Cox tech worked with their central office to add the modem's MAC ID to their system. Added 1 wired connection easily and Wi-Fi equipped devices with the WPS function. We get over 30 mbps but only pay for 30 mbps! No more DSL!
