Carter 8-Light Black Chandelier

Got this to go with our new dining room table. It wasn't in stock in black, so I spray painted it satin black. I was undecided about whether to keep any of it gold, but once I got it and kind of dry-fitted it, I decided the gold didn't match as well as I wanted. It was easy to install. We have an 8 foot ceiling in the dining room and used 3 of the rods for the length which turned out to be a good height. We didn't use the bulbs that came with it because they were too warm/amber looking (and put off heat), so we got some slightly cooler toned LED's--I couldn't find the right size in a 2700 warmth rating anywhere, so I got a standard bulb style with the filament exposed (got at HD too). We also put a dimmer on it because it's super bright with all 8 bulbs going. Very happy with it.

Unique! Was easy to have hung, adjustable & dimmable; however, it does not appear to have come with dimmable bulbs (kinda dumb) because they make a lovely humming noise. That’s my only annoyance, buying new bulbs now that aren’t cheap! :-/

I got this Artika chandelier light for my kitchen. It really is stunning and looks great over my sink island. I definitely like the sharp angles and soft light that reflect on to the ceiling. Highly recommend this light fixture for any room in the house.

Excellent quality light fixture. Perfect size, weight and scale ffor our dinning room. The finish is perfect and the light it produces really fills the room with ambient light. The fixture comes with the bulbs and had 2 extra included. Its easy to adjust the height to fit your ceiling height by adding more poles. Really like that there isn't any glass on the frame that needs cleaned. The black and gold finishes make it perfect for any decor.

We chose the Artika Carter 8-light black chandelier to install in our dining room. The dining room is long, but narrow, so the 8-lights in this chandelier was perfect for the room. The light output is very bright and the chandelier itself turned out breathtaking. The material is very solid and will hold together very well for years. The instructions were very easy (we replaced a light with this chandelier) and we were finished in about 25 minutes. Artika has very modern lights and we will absolutely buy from them again.

The light was not as nice as we expected. It just does not look like the outer cage aligns with the inner light holder and as a result, it has a look that pieces are not really aligned. Part of the reason for this is that the packaging did not hold the inner light holder well and allowed to bend in relation to the outer cage. The light comes with plenty of extension rods, so it can be used on a high ceiling which is good. Another feature I like is that it had a hook that could be used to hold the fixture in place while you connected the wires. It is helpful if you have a second person to help hold the fixture to the ceiling while you screw in the holding nut. I had problems with assembling the rods because several of the threaded pieces were bent or not properly threaded. Overall, the light fixture was acceptable once installed, but the fit of the pieces was not very good and made the installation difficult. As a result, I would not recommend this light fixture.

This fixture looks great over our dining room table. We had a cheap funky looking chandelier that came with the house that we’ve hated for two years now. This one is more modern and fits in the space much better. The only thing I didn’t like was having to buy bulbs for it. It comes with eight incandescent 60 watt bulbs but they are wwwaaaayyyyyy to bright and hot. I found some lovely 40 watt led bulbs and those with a newly installed dimmer switch did the trick. Installation instructions were not that good but once we got two ladders and three people, two to hold the fixture while the third wires it up, it worked out just fine. It’s not that the fixture is very heavy but it’s long and bulky to handle.

I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of this 8-Light Black Chandelier from Artika, and am especially pleased that Edison-type bulbs are included. The linear shape looks amazing suspended above the rectangular table in our dining room, having replaced an ornate chandelier with 5 bulbs that was a bit dated. Everything about this fixture speaks to quality. The fixture is large in size, and really makes a statement. It is well constructed of metal with a black and gold finish, and is not as light weight as I expected it would be. The welds and rivets are neat with smooth edges and no rough burrs. I especially like that the electrical wires threads through the metal rods and are not visible after installation. The lamp sockets are ceramic with a metal surround finished in gold tone. The chandelier is suspended from the canopy attached to the ceiling box by metal down-rods that are threaded at each end to accept another down-rod. There are four 12-inch rods and two 6-inch rods that allow the chandelier to suspend from 6-inches to 54-inches from the ceiling, depending on the number of rods used. Eight Edison style (60 watt) E26 standard base bulbs are included. The lamp sockets are ceramic. The bulbs produce a yellow glow and are dimmable, but are not very bright. The instruction manual is well-written in English, French and Spanish, and contain an accurate illustration provided for each step in the assembly and installation process. Installation was easy, but I had a difficult time trying to get the canopy that holds the eight light sockets to hang plumb. After fussing with it for some time and not wanting to bend or break anything, I substantially loosened the nuts that came pre-tightened and allowed the canopy to hang free. Everyone that has seen this chandelier suspended above my dining table has complimented me on it. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the appearance and performance of this lighting fixture, and highly recommend it.

The Artika Carter 8-light black chandelier is lovely. It is bigger than I thought and will present itself to family and friends as an attractive and classic ceiling light. The frame’s rectangular angles, incandescent lights and brass poles will certainly create an atmosphere of subtle elegance. The fixture comes with TEN light bulbs but only needs eight at one time. It can be wired in to the ceiling and become the focal point of any room. Definitely recommend this beautiful chandelier.

This chandelier is so stylish. I am just tickled to have it in my dining room. My decor is very eclectic and I feel this chandelier fits in. Actually it would go with almost any decor. I like the black and gold. It is very sturdy and well made. It also comes with light bulbs and one to spare. This was also a very easy installation. One could not go wrong with this chandelier.
