ThermoPro 24 kW/240-Volt 4.6 GPM Stainless Steel Electric Tankless Water Heater with Self-Modulating Technology in White is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 56.

Right after I ordered it for $350 I got an email that listed a sale price of $300 I called customer service in 5 minutes I received a $50 credit. My inlet water temperature is as low as 35 degrees and I still have to add cold water when using the shower to prevent scalding, for a tub bath I run hot only it takes a while to fill the tub but it's plenty hot. I have a realistic expectation that I can't run three showers, wash clothes and run the dishwasher all at once. My electrical meter shows the current draw for the entire house and it was only drawing 20A while someone was taking a shower. I still need to verify the current draw. I do know that my power bill dropped from using a 6 gallon tanked water heater that only allowed enough hot water to rinse the soap off, now I can take as long of a shower as I want to. In fact I can take as many showers as I want to without running out of hot water. I have the outlet temperature set to max 135 degrees. I wired the unit myself as directed using 3 40A breakers I marked each pair of wires to make sure that each breaker was wired to the correct terminals. Barring a product failure I think the low ratings are due to inaccurate wiring either by the electrician or DIY installer. My domestic water system is a 5GPM well pump with a 50/40 pressure switch and a manifold supply with dedicated lines to each plumbing fixture. 3/4" to showers, kitchen sink and 1/2" to lavatories and toilets. Bottom line if this water heater ever breaks, I'll replace it with the exact same unit.

Have a family of 4 with 2 little boys that love their baths. Is able to handle running a bath, a shower, dishwasher and the washing machine with no problem (we live in mid Florida). Now some notes. 1) you should be installing a isolation kit with this product so you can do maintenance on it. This can be found multiple places by just searching instant hot water heater isolation kit. The unit will need a pressure relief valve and most isolation kits come with it. 2) this takes 3 40 amp double breakers and 3 8 AWG wires. What would have been helpful when running the wire is the neutral does not need to be connected on the 18-27kw units. So you could get by with one run of 8ga 3 wire with a ground. I ran 2 8x3 with a ground and another ground wire to my breaker panel and I did not need to do that. 3) make sure your panel can handle this. In my home I had a 150 amp panel with a 1500sqft home. This panel would not have handled it and needed to not only change out my panel but also the line from the panel to the meter. This is an added cost but will make sure you do not have some electrical problems after the install. Anyway the heater works great and gives endless water .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This was complete overkill for the application. I installed the tankless water heater in my shop ... This was complete overkill for the application. I installed the tankless water heater in my shop to provide hot water for a commercial 2 hole sink. I could have went with a smaller unit, but this one was on sale. And I wanted to make sure that the unit I got would provide enough hot water I wanted. I like the fact that when I am not running the hot water it isn't costing me anything. When I do run it, it makes the meter spin. I have had the ThermoPro connected for about a month.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2nd one I purchased. First 1 burned up after 6... 2nd one I purchased. First 1 burned up after 6 months, but I liked it so much that I bought another. This one had issues with the threading on the hot pipe so I had to put 2 gaskets in the line to stop the leaks. 2nd one fluctuates more then the 1st, but it could be the cold December water temps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wise investment! We purchased this unit to replace an old tank water heater, which would only produce about 3 min of lukewarm water. We run strictly on electric, so gas was not an option for us. We are a two bathroom house, two adults and a child. People tried to talk us out of a tankless and suggested buying a new tanked version, but I am SO glad we did not listen to them! I can't give you the exact figure we have saved on out electric bill, it has reduced our monthly payment enough that it is more than negligible. The savings alone are worth the investment and that doesn't even count the constant flow of hot water. Great purchase, simple installation.

I was a bit put out as the directions said it required three 8awg 3 wires and then at the end of the installation said that the neutral wire was not required to be used. I could have gotten 8awg 2 wire and labeled the white wire as hot or I could have gotten individual red, black and ground and saved about 1/3 of the cost of wire. It would have been nice if the instructions said in the wire requirements section that the neutral was not required. I also had a bit of a time finding the pressure relief valve and I don't quite understand how it can prevent blowout when it is installed on the cold inlet as per the instructions. That is where I put it but seems rather odd to me. Took me a week to get it up and running but most of that was wiring and some water leaks from previous water heater. Other than these issues, I LOVE this unit!!!!!
