ATMOR ThermoPro Electric Tankless Water Heaters revolutionize hot water heaters with smart flow technology that provides you with unlimited hot water when you need it, without the wait. By automatically activating once water flow is sensed and shuts off when it stops, you'll lower your water consumption and eliminating costly water waste. This eco-friendly unit features the advanced ThermoPro self-modulating system that regulates the amount of energy required to heat water, delivering major savings on your energy bill. The easy-to-use, digital panel gives you full control of the unit for the perfect water temperature every time, while the splash-proof IP54 certifications keep the unit safe and dry. Best of all, unlike a gas water heater, the compact design requires no venting, giving you the flexibility to install anywhere inside your home or garage. Perfect for moderate to warm climates, the 27kW/240-Volt, 5.1 GPM capacity is ideal for small to medium sized homes running up to four applications at once, such as: two showers (1.5 GPM/shower head), one kitchen sink (1GPM), and two bathroom sinks (0.5 GPM) at inlet temperatures of 73°F. Remember inlet temps vary by location and seasonality. Colder climates limit the number of applications that can run simultaneously. Selecting the right water heater depends on your incoming water temperature, flow rate, and desired output temperature.

why Do l lights dim when heater in use & how to fix it.

why Do l lights dim when heater in use
Asked by: Goin4wrd
Dimming lights? First, I am NOT a licensed electrician, but there are some straight forward questions that must be answered correctly. What amperage is your main Breaker Box? It must be 200 amps MINIMUM. What gauge is the wire run from breaker box to water heater? It must be #8 copper or larger. If the feed wires to the hot water unit is too great of distance (I do not know the exact distance), there is 'loss/resistance' in the wires, so possibly need to upsize to #6. Are the new 40amp breakers used the same brand as the panel-- this is a long shot as a possible problem. Are the new breakers 'thin' 2 pole or normal thick 2 pole? If they are thin, you might be drawing an excessive amount of power from one of the legs in the panel, dimming lights on only that leg. Normal thick breakers 2 pole breakers are designed to balance the load evenly across both 120vac legs. Lastly, if you have an all electric home (no gas appliances), even if you have 200 amp service, it may not be adequate depending on the other loads in the house. I have installed 3 of these in my own homes with no problems electrically. I highly recommend an electrician verify your unit is installed properly and that the electric load in your home does not exceed the incoming service, sooner than later.

This is not an undercounter unit that supplies task related hot water. This supplies the whole home. If you are looking to do task specific hot water, you should consider something smaller that runs on 110v (standard plug)

Will this work in line with an existing water heater, that is a distance away from the point of use, to heat water until the hot water from the existing water heater reaches it? In other words, will it shut down as hot water from another unit reaches and passes through it?
Asked by: Chimate
Interesting idea and can't think of why it wouldn't work well. You can confirm with technical support at ATMOR. I had question they were helpful with. I absolutely love my unit that replaced tank heater in 3 bedroom house. will never buy a tank again!!! If you have only a few outlets on secondary line, you probably could use a smaller model.

This product was installed by an electrician and new pipes put in by a plumber. The money spent on installation was worth it. Our old tank hot water heater went out. We did not realize the importance of hot water. Not just for taking a shower. Washing the dishes and washing clothes is difficult. Moping or cleaning the house can be hard. We now have on demand hot water. We looked at other products, this one proved to be the best.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good product but few issues We've been using this unit for about 3 months and overall we like it but there are a few issues. First thing we noticed is that the temperature at the source fluctuates when another source is turned on (i.e. Shower temperate changes is someone turns on a sink). Second, the unit just stopped working the other day. Water was flowing fine but no power to the unit. Checked the breakers, they were fine. All wiring was fine. Checked the manual for trouble shooting and it was pretty much useless. Turns out there are 3 reset buttons inside that aren't even mentioned in the trouble shooting. 1 is easy to see but the other 2 are hidden near the top and are a little difficult to get to. Reset all 3 and it works again.

Delivery was swift as it arrived at the store the next day. Upon inspecting the box which had been opened by the store, the red water input cover was broken and I wasn't sure if the unit had been dropped so I refused to accept it. The representative was very helpful and reordered the unit. It also arrived very quickly, the next day after the order was placed. I'm a little handy however I hired a local handyman to handle the installation for me. It was much more costly than I had anticipated in that I had to purchase 150' of 8/2 electrical wire, the three 40 amp double breakers as well as 8 15 amp single pole breakers as my 200 amp panel had to be reconfigured to accommodate the unit. The unit was installed in a finished basement and we had to cut numerous holes in the drywall to run the electrical wires. I also hired an electrician to ensure the panel was set up properly. While attaching the plumbing fixture to the cold water inlet to the unit, I noticed that the entire arm spun around. The inside nut had not been tightened properly which allowed the entire arm to spin. The unit was activated and the hot water turned on. The water came out cold. We contacted the service number and spoke with Anthony who advised us to make sure that the unit was receiving the proper load of amperage's. It was, so my electrician began to trouble shoot the unit. He removed the panel to the circuit board where we discovered that two of the circuit board contacts had became dislodged. This most likely happened because they are attached to the water intake and became unattached when it spun while the fixtures were being affixed. After reattaching the contacts to the circuit board the unit powered up and hot water began to flow through the lines. So if you have trouble with the water not being hot after powering up the unit. You may want to check the circuit board to ensure that the three or four lines on the top left of the circuit board are properly connected. The size of the unit freed up a ton of space for storage in the closet where the original tanked water heater took up most of it's space. It seems to be working well, I would just like to caution you of the potential for additional installation cost if you are contemplating purchasing this unit.

Once I had the 3 40 amp breakers installed everything went like clockwork. Really please with the product and my decision to give it a shot. I’d certainly read it to anyone who needs a better way.
