Product Overview

Enjoy the beautiful outdoors while lounging under an Awntech Maui awning. This shade is Awntech's standard heavy-duty patio retractable awning. The awning's frame is made up of powder-coated steel and aluminum and you can see the mechanisms and operation when you retract and extend the awning. The retractable awning comes fully assembled leaving you to only install the awning onto your desired wall, soffit, or roof surface type. This is seamless for any homeowner, DIY (Do-It-Yourself) project, or installer. The awning is offered in widths from 8 feet to 24 feet and has projections from 7 feet up to 10 feet allowing for enough coverage for many spaces such as patios, store fronts, and even stationary vehicles. The awnings durability is impeccable and can withstand 35 mph winds. The fabrics are Beauty-Mark brand and are 100% solution dyed acrylic that are available in solid and stripe fabric colors. A valance is included with every awning and can be easily removed and stored in the winter. Every awning will include a rocker arm crank handle, valance, and a remote (for motorized options, a five year limited warranty for fabric and a one year electronics limited warranty (for motorized options).

This awning requires 10" of headroom clearance for installation. Also this awning only offers 10' projection through Home Depot.

Expect to lose 1 ft from wherever you mount at the front end of the awning when it's fully deployed. If that distance is okay for you then your fine.

Hardware is in reference to things like lag screws and concrete anchors. You'll need to go to a hardware store for those things. The wall mounts will come with the awning no matter where you buy our product.

Do I need to purchase my own wall brackets in order to mount the awning?

Okay so... bought this for the balcony outside my bedroom. They said it was sturdy and never give...
Okay so... bought this for the balcony outside my bedroom. They said it was sturdy and never gives you a problem with things like wind... when I got it I noticed right away that there are only 2 support bars one on the outside portion of the awning. Installation was super easy. But the second a breeze of 15 mph comes up the awning creaks and pops at the joints. I knew right away that it would not hold. So I cranked it in and I'm out $1111... There ought to be better support or don't offer this size... It acts basically like a sail... So it had been cranked out and I guess the wind got above 15 mph... it bent the right arm and broke the alum. tubing at the base and at the middle joint.... really super disappointed and definitely don't buy a large one.

So far we love it. Arrived as scheduled, matches description, installed as expected, crank works well, provides great shade. Put up in about 2 hours by myself, needed a helper to lift it into brackets but was light enough for 2 to handle. Good quality, great value.

This product looks and works great. The only issue we had installing it was getting the proper tubing for the latches/anchor bolts to lock in to secure it in the mortar joints on brick wall. Standard latches appear better and lock tight versus the suggested aluminum tubing. Other than that, it went up relatively easily, as stated.
