Product Overview
Enjoy the beautiful outdoors while lounging under an Awntech Destin awning. This shade is Awntech's standard heavy-duty patio retractable awning that includes an aluminum protective hood cover that covers the top and the sides of the awnings components. The awning's frame is made up of powder-coated steel and aluminum. The top of the awning is protected by the hood, when retracted, and prevents any unwanted debris from interfering with the awning. The retractable awning comes fully assembled leaving you to only install the awning onto your desired wall, soffit, or roof surface type. This is seamless for any homeowner, DIY (Do-It-Yourself) project, or installer. The awning is offered in widths from 8 feet to 24 feet and has projections from 7 feet up to 10 feet allowing for enough coverage for many spaces such as patios, store fronts, and even stationary vehicles. The awnings durability is impeccable and can withstand 30 mph winds. The fabrics are Beauty-Mark brand and are 100% solution dyed acrylic that are available in solid and stripe fabric colors. A valance is included with every awning and can be easily removed and stored in the winter. Every awning will include a rocker arm crank handle, valance, and a remote (for motorized options, a five year limited warranty for fabric and a one year electronics limited warranty (for motorized options).

It a is very straight forward installation, just make sure you have good support where the two anchoring brackets are mounted. It meets expectations.

We love this new awning. It replaces one we have...
We love this new awning. It replaces one we have been hand cranking for 12 years. Now from inside the kitchen at the touch of the remote we can lower or raise this beautiful awning. The color is perfect for our color scheme. Installation was pretty straightforward, 2 man job with female supervision. We are very satisfied with our purchase.

I have a rather complicated situation for mounting the awning....
I have a rather complicated situation for mounting the awning. I’m installing it under the soffit on the top of a brick vernier wall. So the top of the brick wall is not good for the tension caused by the top bolts of the brackets. The solution is mounting it through a wooden header.
