AnswerThe canopy mounts directly over the existing junction box, so the fixture will be off-centered as well. Your best bet may be purchasing a light that hangs with chain, and installing a swag hook over where you would like the fixture to hang.

We love our light over our dining room table! It does look almost black in person, so dont be fooled by the pictures online. We love this oil rubbed bronze color! Instructions were slightly confusing due to the tiny picture diagram, but a little common sense and anyone can figure it out. We did have to adjust our outlet box in order for the light to hang the way we desired. We used Ecosmart Daylight Classic Glass Bulbs from Home Depot and it gives off a ton of light!
