It seems to have good airflow, but in a downpour...
It seems to have good airflow, but in a downpour you are going to get fine misting coming through. Enough to form droplets on the inside cover. It's not horrible, but if I were to do it again, I would get one with a higher collar. That might help. I mean there's a trade off, good airflow and some misting, or no airflow. I would give it 5 star if it didn't mist. Also the flange is not that big, so I put a bigger piece of aluminum under the vent. And as you can see from the picture I also formed a catch ring, in case water started to drip down the inside of the vent.

Perfect size to fit between 16" center roofing studs
Perfect size to fit between 16" center roofing studs. I Installed it in my garage and added a 12" Gable fan to the underside and now my garage is cooler on those hot days.
