There are frequency selections on each unit. They must both be on the same frequency selection to work. Also you may have to use fresh batteries.

purchased mine last summer, it never worked right and didn't last a month. Waste of money, do not buy this item.

My Thermometer stopped working all together after a few weeks.... the company said they would give me credit that I NEVER received!!! Home Depot stood behind the junk Thermometer and gave me a store credit.

I get both HH and LL when the batteries are first inserted. This is where the HIGH and LOW temps live after a short amount of time. Mine now shows 83 where the HH was just minutes after inserting batteries. And yes, that is water inside of a 6 month old unit :-(

No. It has not improved at all. I don't know why we keep buying it, hoping it was a mistake on our part. But we stupidly bought it for 3 times. I want to return it and get my money back. Water always leaks into the battery compartment and may affect the PH level of our water for all I know. The screen always gets messed up and will always give a very high ready even when we've taken it inside. This was money down the drain. The old fashioned thermometer was more reliable but I have to go it and check it.

Still garbage. There are cleary ways to fix the problem the OEM and the vendor don't care.

I have had no water intrusion issues, but the batteries only last 6 weeks. Would be nice if display on the transmitter worked with pushing a button....would extend battery life IMO. I understand it cannot shutdown completely, due to the wireless transmitter....but replacing batteries every 6 weeks is a little unacceptable....

Bought one this spring, and it leaked within 90 days. But it is likely from last years stock.

Yes, these are junk. One trick I will share that has gotten mine to last for years. Use a Foodsaver to vaccum seal it in the bag. You will not get an accurate reading any more, + or - 5 degrees, but if using for a hot tub, this will prolong the life.

It's still junk, bought a new one just a couple months ago and it's already failed - it isn't leaking but it says my outside pool is at 156F :D I'm on my 3rd one in a year, I'm taking out the extended warranty on the next one just for fun :)

Still leaks, even if you use the grease for pool o-rings on this devices o-ring. Pretty sure it leaks from the 5 hidden screws on top or from the blue seal

I had it in a Jacuzzi at 105 degrees F. However, both units that I purchased failed within 6 months because the sensor unit leaked. I don't think the seal can withstand hot water and it gets humidity inside. The temperature display fogs up and the electronics corrode.

Full temp range based on the manual's specs is 32º to 158º Fahrenheit; 0-70º C

Living in South Florida in July or August our Pool Water Temperature has been over 90

Used it in my SPA set at 104F and it worked for a while. My experience which these units is better in swimming pool than SPA. Given the materials of construction and overall quality I would not recommend it services above 100F.

It will NOT connect with the new MyAcurite firmware update on the bridges. The device is not supported by Acurite when connecting to their bridges. They don't even sell this on their website anymore because it's so prone with issues.

This sensor is not on the list of AccuLink compatible sensors.

Honestly - it's not suitable for any pool. In my experience, it leaks horribly around the LCD window and will likely fail within a month or two of having been outside. I've purchased two of them and experienced the same problem with both. There is *no* water seal between the LCD and the clear window. Rain and pool water splash will combine to fill the unit with moisture over time.

Yes, I have had in Salt water pool for years

Mine did that too - condensation in LCD, found it was not the top plastic LCD cover that leaked, it was water getting in past the rubber seal in the base screw connection causing the condensation in the LCD from water inside the unit. Got some plumber's silicon faucet grease, coated the rubber seal liberally, and no more leaking. Now I use the silicon grease on my chlorine feeder and pump strainer basket lid rubber seals as well. Keeps the seals in place, and from drying out, and makes a nice tight but easy to unscrew waterproof connection.

So far I would say yes. I have been using it in mine for 6 weeks. Now, batteries also died after only 6 weeks. Just replaced today. I also have had no water intrusion issues as others have.

My unit has been a constant problem of reliability. I believe, from other comments of the purchasers, that this product is not compatible for salt water pools. Most consumer evaluations are on the "poor" side. I am taking mine back for refund or exchange of another type.....good luck

Yes but it comes with the indoor monitor as a complete unit, not just a standalone thermometer.

yes you can run up to 3 just switch them to different channels they have A B OR C on both reciever and base were you put in the batteries

I have not seen these particular items sold separately. However, there are similar digital floating thermometers on ebay.
