I contacted a representative from NDS products and they said that if you are doing a french drain, the 2 holes should be facing downward. I further researched it through ADS and I viewed their landscape catalog ; it shows that the 2 holes should also be facing downward. If you have a 3 hole corrugated pipe, then the 3 holes can face down or 2 can face down and 1 up. The holes are 120 degrees apart from each other. Hope that helps answer your question.
Great for smaller areas, such as along the house gravel beds.
the pipes has a connector on one end from the factory
I was able to pick it up at my local Home Depot.
Yes. No couples needed.
The crushed stone encases the pipe. Dug the trench, went 10" down. Put in a trench cloth fiter to keep stone from gavitating into dirt over time. 3" roughly under the pipe, 3" each side, then covered with stone. My particular application I covered with stone flush to lawn height. Did not cover with dirt. In another application, I did cover stone with dirt so lawn could grow over.
The interior of the pipe is 3" (75 mm) and the exterior of the pipe is 3.25" (83 mm) in accordance with the ADS catalog
This pipe will flex slightly which is helpful if your trench is not perfectly straight. I recently was able to flex / bend it about 6", but you are not getting much more than that out of it.
Plumbing PVC pipe cement holds these together nice and water tight.
Provides for safe, easy, efficient installations without breaking, splitting or cracking, and is more impact–resistant than PVC, ABS or Styrene Triplewall/Smoothwall is more durable than PVC in low temperature applications and will not crack under low weight loads Impact resistant and can be installed in subzero temperatures Can be used for all your turf drainage needs as well as sidewalk culverts and onsite waste management systems. However, if you will be driving over the pipe while it is buried, you should pull up the blueprint for the Advanced Drainage system for installation requirement.
